For those of you who know me personally, I am not a small person by any means. For most of my life I have been extra large, this isn’t to say that I am obese, I am just a very BIG person. At 6 foot 4 inches tall and with a weight that has fluctuated from 230 at my slimest all the way up to pushing close to 300 pounds, I am a big guy.
The reason that I mention this is that over the last decade (my 30′s), it became harder and harder for me to maintain an acceptable weight in my eyes. For me, it has become a personal issue, mostly because I know all the research and information, I’ve read most of the books, listened to the lectures, and talked to the experts. I’m positive that if I watched what I ate and exercised on a regular basis, my weight would be easily controlled.
That being said, with my work and lifestyle, I find it extremely challenging to actually get that done. When I was working out in Martial Arts consistently, and watching my eating, I could pretty easily bring my weight back down to the 230-240 range and keep it there, and then LIFE HAPPENS and the weight starts to come back.
Well, I just finished reading Kevin Trudeau’s book “The Weight Loss Cure” and found a lot of very interesting information in the book. Don’t get me wrong, as with most of Kevin’s books, it is 90% hype and 10% content, and I always make it a point to get something out of every book that I read.
So, I decided that I am going to do the program that Kevin talks about for the 6 weeks of the program and see how I do. You may ask yourself, “Why do something that radical?”, well the answer to that is pretty simple. Over the past couple of years, my weight hasn’t been that easy to manage the way that I used to. Also, I feel that a radical shift will make the long term change that I need right now.
In a future posting, I will outline the program and then once I begin, I’ll take you through it with me, so that we can see the results together.
I was going to post a photo of me at that point, however and all of the pre-diet photos that I took scared me too much. Maybe when I finish and take the after photos, I’ll feel good enough to post both before and after, so that you can see the differences.
Look forward to the postings on the “HCG Diet” and “My Journey” in the future…
