I’m writing this blog entry for a couple of reasons, but before I get into that, let me talk about how this started…

I’ve run an online business in one capacity or another for almost 9 years.  Having gotten my start in the Internet Marketing (IM) world by building numerous (hundreds and hundreds) of Google AdSense websites and a lot of Affiliate Marketing sites.  If you want to know what that is, search for “Affiliate Marketing” on LifeClassroom.com and you’ll find a whole lot of articles that I’ve written.

Anyway, I’ve been using Virtual Assistants (VA) in one capacity or another since 2002 when I started to outsource projects and sections of my business to people as close as a few blocks away to as far as half way around the world.  Overall, my experience with Virtual Assistants have been excellent, there are always a few rotten apples in the bunch.

How fast forward to 2009, and I’m really starting to make a big push to get back into both the IM arena and also to continue my consulting businesses.  And I find that there is litterally not enough time in the day to get everything done.  I’m missing calls, forgetting to follow-up with people, dropping the ball of items that are really high on my priority list, it is just that things get in the way.

So this morning, when I was leaving the SANG (Speakers & Authors Networking Group) event in Las Vegas, I put out a tweet (you know, on Twitter) that I was looking to hire a VIrtual Assistant.  Then I got on the plane to fly from Las Vegas to Los Angeles (a total of 55 minutes travel time).  The surprising thing, to me, is that when I arrived in LA, I already had well over a dozen responses from people in my followers who either are VAs or who have one that they can recommend.

Now, comes the sadly ironic part of the tale, I haven’t been able to follow-up with any of them because I’ve literally gone from airport to hotel to meeting to meeting to meeting to dinner meeting to meeting… you get the idea.  And here it is pretty late and I still haven’t followed -up with them.  For the next 3 days, I’m at Mark Victor Hansen’s MEGA BOOK Marketing course and I don’t know if I am going to have time to follow-up with any of them still…

So the comical part of this is that I need a VA, and I’m too busy to hire a VA   Definitely Not Funny!

My thought was to write this blog posting and then put the tweet out that anyone who is interested in finding out what I’m looking for and scheduling a time to talk will come here to see the description of what I’m looking for… So here it is:

I’m looking for an assistant who can handle the day-to-day management of my schedule, return or send some emails to coordinate meetings, teleseminars, possibly travel arrangments, etc.  Whomever this is needs to be extremely capable of managing me, especially when I’m having problems working on my deadlines.  It will involve answering some emails and making calls to schedule and confirm things.  Also, there will be some management of my various contact and marketing lists.  If whomever inquires is familiar with 1ShoppingCart, WordPress, and also systems like InstantTeleseminar, MarketingMakeoverGenerator and Veritcal Response (or some other email blast software) it would be a huge plus.  Also, they need to be familiar and fluent in various Social Media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, & Linked In so that I can finally get my online presence a bit more standardized and uniform.
